FAQ's

Our retreats are five full days of immersive, hands-on piano technician training. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced instructors and coaches in a small, focused group—building essential Pianocraft skills through real practice, real feedback, and real community.

This isn’t a lecture hall. It’s a working, collaborative space where you’ll ask questions, make mistakes, and get it right—all with expert guidance and plenty of one-on-one attention.

*Before registering, we do a quick screening call. This helps us personalize your Pianocraft experience and make sure we custom the training to your current skill level.

Each Artisan Retreat is offered at a flat rate of $2,500.

This includes:

  • Five full days of in-person training with expert instructors
  • Lunch and snacks throughout the day
  • Evening field trip to Classic Pianos

*Please Note: Retreat registrations are fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the scheduled event. Cancellations made within 30 days of the retreat date are not eligible for a refund, but the amount can be credited toward a future event.

Workshop tuition does not include travel or lodging, but we’ve made planning easy. We’ve partnered with the Rivershore Hotel, located just minutes from the training facility, to offer discounted rates for Artisan School attendees.

  • If you choose to stay at the Rivershore Hotel, we provide daily shuttle service to and from the training site—no need to worry about commuting!
  • Airport transportation is not included—attendees will need to arrange their own rides to and from the airport.
  • Evening activities and dinners (outside of scheduled group events) are optional and not included.
  • Students should plan to arrive the Sunday before the retreat begins and depart the following Saturday.
On-site lunch is provided each day.
Snacks and refreshments are available throughout the day.
  • Small group size: We keep it intimate so every student gets meaningful time with instructors

  • Real skills, real feedback: You’ll practice on actual pianos under real-world conditions

  • Supportive coaching: Whether you're tuning your first piano or refining decades of experience, our mentors meet you where you’re at and help you level up

  • Industry connection: The optional Classic Pianos visit gives you behind-the-scenes exposure to the retail and concert service world

All essential tools will be provided during training so you can experiment and find what works best for you before investing. If you already have tools, feel free to bring them—we love comparing favorites!
