This week, The Artisan School had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) Convention & Technical Institute in Arlington, Virginia. The annual event brings together piano technicians, educators, manufacturers, and industry leaders from around the world to share knowledge, tools, jigs, new technology.
For us, attending events like this is about much more than having a booth. It's an opportunity to connect with current students, meet aspiring technicians, and we got to build relationships with so many amazing techs from all over the world. Throughout the convention, we enjoyed countless conversations about piano technology, education, and the future of the trade.
One of the core values of The Artisan School is that our instructors aren't just teachers, they're active working piano technicians. We believe the best education comes from professionals who are continually learning, solving real-world problems, and engaging with the broader piano technician community. Events like the PTG Convention allow us to bring fresh ideas, techniques, and industry insights directly back into our courses and mentoring programs.
We're so grateful to the wonderful techs who are shring their stories, and took the time to learn more about what we're building at The Artisan School. We look forward to seeing many of you again whether online, at one of our in-person trainings in Oregon City, or at a future industry event!
